We wanted to make sure you saw our latest news! America’s Best Restaurants just announced a new stop on our journey around the country to find the best local food joints - Ernie’s Cafe & Steakhouse in Columbia, MO on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022. 

During our visit with owner Thomas Spurling, we will taste-test a few of his must-try menu items, hear his story about how he came to grow into the restaurant business, and learn just how special Ernie’s Cafe & Steakhouse is.

Starting in the restaurant industry at just 15, Thomas Spurling has always had a passion for the business. He was able to take on Ernie’s Cafe & Steakhouse in 1996 and has been using his nearly 50 years of versatile experience to grow Ernie’s into a must stop shop. Even Chester Gould, creator of Dick Tracy, was inspired after trying the Chopped Cow at Ernie’s! 

With such a rich history, Ernie’s Cafe & Steakhouse is a no-brainer for us here at America’s Best Restaurants, and we are so looking forward to our visit!
