About WILD TURKEY TAVERN

Opened on Halloween in 1980 by Mike & Kay Reark. “The Turkey” is a regional landmark, known nationwide for their irreverent signs and great food. “The Turkey” has been a haven for fisherman, hunters, golfers and other great embellishers fo the truth. It has also been host of tradesman, professionals, lawyers, bikers, cowboys, race care drivers and stunt pilots, even retirees and kids have always fit right in. This diversity is what has always defined this special place hidden in camp and protected by T-Rex on the side of Highway 27.

Mike & Kay after 35 years are passing the legacy of this great place on to the next keepers of the Wild Turkey Tavern tradition. We look forward to keeping the Wild Turkey heritage alive and well in Highlands County for years to come.
