About Chick's on the Square

Chick’s began with a simple idea and a shared love for good food. In 2005, founders Kati, Nick, and Shannon were enjoying lunch together when the thought came up — what if we opened a place that served Chicken Lips and other great dishes? That spark turned into months of planning with a local chef, and by February 1, 2006, Chick’s on the Square opened its doors in Macomb, Illinois.

From day one, Chick’s became a local favorite — known for our fresh, flavorful food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. We’re proud to have been voted one of Macomb’s best places to eat by locals, students, and visitors alike.

In 2014, we brought that same Chick’s experience to Quincy, Illinois, opening Chick’s on the River along the beautiful riverfront. Since then, we’ve been serving up the same great taste, refreshing martinis, craft beers, and award-winning burgers that made us famous.

Nearly two decades later, both locations continue to thrive thanks to our amazing guests and dedicated team. From our kitchen to your table, we’re here to serve great food, share good times, and keep the tradition of Chick’s alive — one Chicken Lip at a time!
