About Palmyra Pub and Eatery in Dixon, Illinois

Tucked away on the western edge of town, we’ve always been known as a bit of a hidden gem. For years, when people asked, “Where’s your restaurant?” the answer was simple: That Place on Palmyra. In 2015, after tossing around ideas for a new name, we decided to stick with what everyone already knew and loved, officially becoming That Place on Palmyra Pub & Eatery.

In January 2019, the Prescott family—well-known in the area for the Candlelight Inn and its famous Chicken George—took over management. Along with their leadership came a shorter, simpler name: Palmyra Pub & Eatery.

Today, we’re proud to continue serving many of the beloved dishes that have been part of this location for years. From mouthwatering barbecue and juicy burgers to fresh wraps, crisp salads, and of course, the legendary Chicken George, our menu has something for everyone. Whether you’re relaxing inside or enjoying the fresh air on our patio, we invite you to join us for great food, warm hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels like home.
