The creative food partnership of chefs Jovanny Diaz and Margarita Challenger — who developed an outstanding reputation for inspired Mexican cuisine at their first restaurant, Guanajuato, located in Glencoe — have teamed up again to bring their deep love for the authentic flavors of Mexico’s famed street vendors here to the heart of Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

In a spotlessly clean and contemporary environment, Tacos Guanajuato serves unique tacos and burritos with amazing flavor. We slow cook our barbacoa for 10 hours. We prepare fresh tortillas every day in our kitchen. From traditional recipes like Carne Asada and Carnitas to unique tacos like our Bacon & Chorizo, Shrimp and Tilapia, you will delight in finding extra special toppings like our Skinny Coleslaw and our Mango Relish.
