About Old Louisville Tavern

Old Louisville Tavern was purchased by Dan Borsch and Scott Lukemire in summer of 2013, previously run as The Tavern since 1933. It was known for the Knocker Burger, served in-house since its creation.

It had been a staple neighborhood tavern throughout the years and was in much need of a revival when we came along. Through our dedicated approach to hand-made scratch food and delicious drinks made in an inviting neighborhood tavern, we were able to reestablish the corner of 4th and Gaulbert to its original purpose, bringing the neighborhood together. We continue to strive every day with this goal in mind, giving neighbors a place to come together and enjoy great food, drinks, and each others company. We make all sauces and dressings in house, hand-patty our burgers, and house-cut our French fries. We meticulously prepare all orders from scratch to ensure accuracy and total guest satisfaction.

Our motto in the kitchen is “Great food done right”.
