The story of Brooks’ House of BBQ began long before we fired up our first smoker. Our roots trace back to a humble poultry farm, where founder Griffin Brooks laid the groundwork for what would become a beloved barbecue tradition. After graduating in 1940 from the Agricultural and Technical College at Delhi with a degree in animal husbandry, Griffin combined his agricultural expertise with a passion for hospitality and good food. That foundation helped shape the values we carry on today: hard work, high standards, and a genuine love for serving our community.

From those early days to now, Brooks’ has grown into a landmark destination for barbecue lovers near and far — and we continue to honor our legacy by doing things the right way: slow, steady, and full of flavor.
