About The Old Union Hotel

 The Old Union Hotel has been a staple on Clinton Street in the First Ward of Binghamton, NY since it was established in 1888.  This three story structure has been modified and updated many times in its 127+ year history but still remains a destination spot.  The early owners lived on the second floor in the four bedroom apartment above the bar.  While living there, they rented out the eleven hotel rooms on the third floor to the men returning from the battlefields.  The bar became an establishment that people kept coming back to and even today has many regular patrons that feel more like family.

 Since being purchased in the fall of 2012 by the current owners, brothers Adam and Andy Kipp and their cousin, Mike Cooke, the building has gone through many changes.  The exterior has all new windows, doors, and siding. The tearing down of the adjacent building was the first step toward an outdoor patio and deck opening in the spring of 2017.  We also added plenty of exterior lighting to show off the new look.  The inside has been heavily remodeled but still has the same great friendly feel.  Keeping the existing bar top (although extended) and the gorgeous red tin ceiling was a way to preserve some of the bar's history.  Behind the bar also remains the same as it has been for years but the new 50" TVs give it a nice modern feel.  The floors throughout have been replaced with a beautiful new laminate flooring.  The bathrooms have been updated and we expanded our kitchen to meet the demands of our extravagant menu.

 Now on to the best parts of The Old Union Hotel: our Staff and of course our FOOD.  We pride ourselves on challenging our staff to be the best in town.  From our very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders, to our polite and courteous servers, our goal is to give you the best experience possible.  Our head chef Nick Kadlecik and his crew will create a masterpiece in the kitchen for your enjoyment.  We like to say that we are "redefining bar food".  As you can see from our menu, this is not your average bar menu.  Our quality of food is second to none, starting with only the freshest ingredients.  Our meats come from a local butcher shop and they are served fresh and never frozen.  But if it is bar food you are looking for, our wings are the best around! The Old Union Hotel has won the only southern and central New York Wingfest three years in a row.  Come down and try them for yourself.  You will not be disappointed!  Our kitchen is open late every night so stop down and see us!
