About Meadow Village Restaurant

It all began in 1980 when the Raynor family opened the doors of the original Village Restaurant in Newton Grove, North Carolina. With hard work and a passion for serving great food, the business quickly found success. After a few wonderful years in Newton Grove, the Raynors made the decision to relocate the restaurant to the small, tight-knit community of Meadow, North Carolina—a move that would shape the future of the family legacy.

With the change in location came a new name: Meadow Village Restaurant. What started as a modest family venture continued to flourish in its new home. The community embraced the restaurant, and growth soon followed. Now, over 40 years later, Meadow Village Restaurant is still going strong, proudly serving generations of loyal customers.

Throughout the years, the restaurant expanded its offerings to include a beloved buffet and eventually added catering services—bringing the comfort and flavor of Meadow Village to special events all across the area.

Of course, no mention of Meadow Village Restaurant would be complete without highlighting their legendary Chocolate Pie, which has even been featured in Our State magazine, making it a must-try for locals and visitors alike.

Despite the growth, one thing has never changed: the commitment to remaining family-owned and operated. Today, Timmy, Dawn, Taylor, and Dawson Raynor continue to carry on the tradition, proudly representing Meadow Village Restaurant with the same dedication, warmth, and love that started it all.
