About Bill's PRIME Seafood & Steaks

It all began in 1960, when a charming little spot called Edna’s Oyster Bar opened its doors. Run by the beloved husband-and-wife team, Bill and Virginia “Ginny” Clark, the cozy eatery quickly became a late-night favorite among locals. People came for the oysters, clams, shrimp, chicken baskets, fresh fish, hearty sandwiches—and, of course, the best cup of coffee in town.

As the buzz grew, so did Bill and Ginny’s ambitions. They relocated to the corner of Cleveland and Main Street, where the newly named Bill’s Seafood Restaurant became a neighborhood staple. In the early mornings, it welcomed fishermen, hunters, and travelers for generous breakfasts. By lunch and dinner, the place was bustling, full of regulars and newcomers alike. Many still fondly recall the friendly waitresses with their signature beehive hairstyles, adding a dash of personality to every visit.

In the early 1970s, after a fire destroyed the nearby Hotel Russell, the Clarks purchased the property and built a larger space to accommodate their growing customer base. That new restaurant opened in 1973—and it remains our home to this day.

The 1980s brought a new chapter, as ownership passed to the Malone family, who preserved the warm, welcoming spirit of the original. Then, in 1996, Kevin Krome and Steve Potts took the helm. With their vision and leadership, the restaurant evolved into something even greater: Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks.

Today, Bill’s PRIME offers the best of both worlds—historic charm and modern elegance. Guests enjoy the finest local seafood, natural Black Angus steaks, handcrafted cocktails, a thoughtfully curated international wine list, and unforgettable desserts, all served in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

Whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or planning a romantic dinner on the Eastern Shore, Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks remains a timeless destination—always a cut above.
