About High’s Restaurant

High's is open for Lunch and Dinner. For dessert, we offer pies and cakes, as well as premium hand-dipped ice creams. Nostalgia lovers enjoy our old-fashioned 1950s counter service, where we prepare for them customized Banana Splits, Sundaes, Shakes, Floats, and our exclusive Fire and Ice Cream (a huge ice cream dish that is set ablaze without melting the creamy goodness underneath). You too can become part of High’s history by memorializing your signature on our wooden bench seats. Autographs that still remain legible date back to the early 1950's. Our guests tell us that much of the fun in visiting High's comes from witnessing the signatures and drawings of their friends and family members who have come to Monterey before and documented their presence with a sharpie at the famous Highland County staple.
